Step one: Read the article
Step two: Listen to me rant... or not

I've disliked pairings. I've been dissoppionted when writes put together couples who I don't care for. I rarely, if ever, downright hate a ship.
I consider myself open-minded about ships, seeing even the most impossible of couples on shows. I don't care if my OTP doesn't happen, I simply move one, slightly dissapointed, but that's life.

BUT I am not, nor will I ever, be ok with Nacy. It's nothing more than the writers attempts to make the it's viewers happy, since Nacy happens to be very popular. I can live with it being popular, but the characters themselves are incompatible. They would never survive as a couple without both being very forced. I don't like this, I don't like this at all.

I understand that my favorite ship on the show is unlikely to happen, I can live with that, it's no big deal, but I don't like the writers putting together two such obviously wrong for each other people.

P.S. If anyone knows how to make it so that this just links back to my profile, I'd be eternally greatful. That way I can just stop coping and past each thing I do on two different lj pages.

I have a similar feeling to the Kacy idea; it may only be in my head, but really it just makes sense to me. Or at least, a Kacy friendship makes sense to me. Nick and Macy as characters just seem... hm, I don't know. It would be like Joe and Macy becoming a couple. (Then again, one could argue that because Kevin and Macy are so alike they wouldn't work out, but that's another topic).

I don't know what to think honestly. Kinda liked Joe and Stella being the only couple because it kept this show from being like every other Disney show, ya know? Like wow, guys and gals can be actual friends! (Please don't hate; I have many guy friends and no boyfriend, so live in that sort of reality. lol)
sandalarissandalaris on March 31st, 2010 12:54 am (UTC)
Personally, I think the same on alot of that. I've thought that before, that maybe Kevin and Macy are too alike. Won't stop me from shipping them, but I never expect them to become canon.
I too wished that Joe and Stella were the only couple. My love of Kacy aside, I don't really think Macy should be dating any JONAS in canon. Guys and girls can be friends. True, I don't have any close guy friends, but I've got a few that I'm friendly terms with and talk with now and then.
I think it's practically canon that Kevin is the JONAS that Macy's closest too friendwise.
Meleftygirl02 on March 31st, 2010 01:20 pm (UTC)
Won't stop me either. Even as just friends they're too cute together not to. Which makes me wonder; which Joe and Stella as a couple, then Nick and Macy having a romance, what happens to Kevin? Obviously he'll still be there, but will he be as prodominate as he was in the first season?

I agree that Macy shouldn't date a JONAS. I don't know why but it just seems wrong somehow. Maybe it's again just being my "guys and gals can just be friends" self. lol.

I think the boys tried to make sure Kevin L was a big part of each story because Kevin J has a tendency to not be a favorite amoung the fans of JB. So they were trying to keep him equal, but now that Nacy's going to happen, you're right, what will happen to Kevin? Same with on CR2, Nate and Shane both have love interests, but Jason won't, so what will happen with him? They'll be there, but it's going to be difficult to keep Kevin/Jason as prominate.

I think the reason I don't like her dating a JONAS is because I like her as a fangirl. I like how she still says "of JONAS" at the end of their names now and then, how she collects JONASmobila, how she'll faint when things get too much for her, ect. And if she started to date one, that would mess with her fangirling. Probably also part of the reason I like her with Kevin, out of all three, he's the one most likely to support her fangirl side. I read a fic once where he joined her JONAS fanclub because "I like our music. I'm a fan." Oh, Kevin!logic.
Meleftygirl02 on March 31st, 2010 02:53 pm (UTC)
Oh I'd love to read that fic if you could find it again. That would be something Kevin L would do, too. Ha love it.

I agree; I like Macy's fangirl side coming out every once in awhile, even now. It's cute and part of her charm. I can't help but wonder what putting her with Nick will do to her character. I'd like to see Nick smile more, but that's another story.

Oh yes, Jason in CR2. I remember Kevin being asked how he felt about his character not having a love interest. His responce was something like, "Well, it's cool, cause I found my love interest in real life." I know he's the oldest and married and not the most popular among fans (although I'd argue he has some of the best fans! ha) but I don't think he should be given a lesser role in upcoming seasons for it.

A friend of mine once said Kevin's the reason she watches because he looks like the one having the most fun out of all of them. He makes it funny.

I'll have to look, it wasn't a Kacy fic, and had some Nacy hints, so I only read it the once, but I'll see if I can find it for you. XD

There's something about Macy's fangirling that is just adorable; which is a bit odd because my best friend is a major "fangirl" of some celebs and I always find it kind of... not bad, but not a good thing either. Seeing Nick smile more would be nice. :)

Lol, I completly agree that he has some of the best fans (I fail at all things fan-wise, but I consider myself to be a Kevin fan, lol.) I hope that Jason still gets plenty of screen time in CR2, I didn't know who JB really was when I watched Camp Rock, but I thought Jason was pretty much awesome and Kevin L is so much like him.

I'm kind of the same; I checked out JONAS just to see if it was any good (still didn't really know much if anything about the Jonas Brothers) and pretty much got sucked into it because of Kevin's character. (Although the show itself turned out to be pretty good.)

Ha I have a friend who is absolutely a fangirl and it drives me nuts. It's hard to explain, but the Macy fangirlness is different. My friend.... well, she's baked him cookies, knit him socks, seen him a dozen times in concert (including flying across the country for one day in order to see him), bought stamps with his picture on them... The hieght of it came by her describing not seeing him for a few months in concert as an honest depression (her words, not mine).

Ha I consider myself a fail as a fan most of the time as well. I'm horrible at watching things on television; am just too busy and forget to record things. I too was really unaware of the JB when I first started watching the show. CR came just this year as being watched, and I was actually rather sad at how little Jason is in it.

The reason I watched the show was because nothing else was on; watched "Keeping It Real" and Kevin just sucked me into it. No, really. As my friend said, he just seems to be having fun, and the way he delivers his lines... those faces he makes... ha. Sorry, will stop now.
sandalarissandalaris on April 2nd, 2010 02:09 pm (UTC)
I was deteremined that I would not reply to this until I found that fic. But I've been so busy lately I haven't had that much time to look.

Wow. I've never seen them in concert, never done anything for any of them, I don't own anything with any of their faces on it... I fail the fangirl test!

I watched CR the first time while making dinner and it was on in the background. I've since rewatched it, but at the time all I knew was some girl went to camp, some blond girl was mean, they sang, the main girl was good and held hands with the guy in the white pants. Oh, and I caught the "group hug" scene, which made me laugh.

I was one of those people that didn't think they were supposed to be brothers in Camp Rock, so I'm hoping I'm not proven wrong by the second movie. I like the idea of them not playing brothers in one thing.

He does seem to have the most fun, like he generally likes to be there and likes what he's doing. I hope Kevin persues a career in acting; they say the comedic/out-there roles are the hardest to (sucessefullly) play and take the most talent to pull off.
Meleftygirl02 on April 2nd, 2010 05:22 pm (UTC)
All good; understand fully about being busy lately. Coming to the time where papers and such are due. :/

I've only seen Nick J in concert at the beginning of the year. My friend is a huge JB fan and Nick is her fave. Add in that the venue was smaller and the tickets were fairly cheap... not a bad experience even if the room was packed with screaming teen girls.

My fan-ness goes as far as owning a couple of magazine cutouts with them on it. Well, and owning both the JONAS DVDs, for which I have friends to thank.

Ha your knowledge of the movie surpassed mine. I honestly knew nothing about it other than the "5 Minute Game Show" questions and clips. I agree; don't think they're supposed to be brothers in the movie. In fact, Nate and Jason's last names are never given. Have been writing a fan fic where the characters are brothers, but that's only because it works with the plot better that way.

sandalarissandalaris on April 2nd, 2010 05:36 pm (UTC)
Have to run off to work in 10 minutes but I'll look for that story when I get back.

I've never been to a concert, so the "never been to a JB concert" should probably never been listed now that I think about it.

I don't own the DVD's because I took advantage of that little loophole in the law that says as long as it's played on tv, you can leagally have it on your computer and just went and downloaded them. I do own their newest CD.

I looked up the "cast of Camp Rock 2" and Jason and Nate are still without last names. So far, they are still not siblins, wich makes me happy. I don't actually get the Disney Channel, so I'll have to check out the movie after it's put online, see if it's any good.

I didn't read the article but based on pics of s2 from JJJR a while back I figured Nacy was in the works. As cute as I think they'd be IRL, I really only see Kevin & Macy working out on the show (besides Stella & Joe.) I've never seen Nacy working just because really they have said what two words to each other?? Strange. Oh well - we'll see how this season plays out!

(I'd totally die of happiness of Kevin & Macy ever got together - they are so unbelievably adorable!) Sorry for ranting in your comments lol!
sandalarissandalaris on April 6th, 2010 07:51 pm (UTC)
Nick and Macy don't really communicate. And he always looks so annoyed to see her around; except for the one episode where they're looking for undercover paperazzi.

I don't mind the rant. XD
Me: nickleftygirl02 on April 9th, 2010 03:10 am (UTC)
Agreed. Maybe in California they discover they actually have something in common with one another? Hard to tell. (Course I'm sitting here thinking of the ways Kevin and Macy are alike v Nick and Macy... but I digress.)
sandalarissandalaris on April 13th, 2010 01:55 am (UTC)
I don't know what it could be, but maybe. I'd rather they decide they don't like them together and brake them up after one episode, but that's just me, lol.
